Poster Guidelines

Only those poster abstracts submitted by 21.07.2019 will be included in the Horizons 2019 booklet. A limited number of slots will be available for spontaneous poster presentations (first-come, first served basis, please ask about availability of slots at the registration desk on the first day of the conference).

To be eligible for travel grant or awarded student talk, you have to submit your abstract by 30.06.2019.

You will receive a confirmation of you poster abstract acceptance by email a few weeks before the conference.


The following guidelines apply to every application. The application will not be considered if any of the criteria are not met. The abstract will not be proofread or corrected - so check everything carefully before submitting. 


Abstracts for posters must be written in English. The abstract should include heading, authors and the main text.

The abstract heading must include the title - up to 120 characters.

The entire abstract including the title and the authors should not exceed 500 words.

Figures and tables may not be included in the abstract.

Abstracts can be submitted online during the registration process via the registration form. Abstract submission by email is not possible. Each participant can submit only one abstract. 

The maximum poster size is A0, vertical (height 119 cm x width 84 cm). Please prepare your poster accordingly.
